Override a speed parameter for a motor instance

This example shows how to override the speed runtime parameter for a speed control actuator instance in an assembly.

Procedure

  1. In the Assembly Navigator, right-click a component and choose Replace Reference Set → Entire Part.
  2. In the Physics Navigator, under the Sensors and Actuators node, right-click the speed control actuator instance and choose Override.
  3. In the Speed box, type 25, and then click OK.
  4. In the Physics Navigator, in the Overridden column, verify the speed control actuator instance has an overriding runtime parameter.
  5. (Optional) To edit the overriding speed parameter, select the Speed Control node and, in the Details panel, in the Speed row, double-click the Expression cell, type 50, and then press Enter.
  6. Run the simulation to see the results.
