Operation dialog box
Reference for the fields and controls of the Operation dialog box, used to define time-based and event-based (logic) operations in Mechatronics Concept Designer.
Type
- Type list — Specifies the type of operation you want to create.
Physics Object
- Select Object — Appears when Type is set to Operation. Lets you set the object to be controlled by the operation.
- Dynamically Assign — Sets the operation to change a tag parameter from the selected triggering body during runtime.
Display Icon
- Display Icon — Filters the graphics window so that only the icons of the selected physics object are displayed.
Duration
- Time — Appears when Type is set to Operation. Sets the operation duration.
Runtime Parameter
Runtime parameter list — Available when Type is set to Operation. Displays a list of accessible runtime parameters or tag forms. To make parameters accessible by the operation, in the Set column, select the check box of the parameter.
Note: If you select a physics object that references a rigid body, such as the attachment of a fixed joint, you can statically assign a specific body, or dynamically assign a body to trigger a collision sensor at runtime.
Tip: To set the value of the parameter, double-click its Value cell.
Edit Parameter — Available when a physics object is selected, and any parameter check box except
activeis selected in the runtime parameter list. When a parameter check box is selected and you select the row of the parameter in the runtime parameter list, you can specify the Value for that parameter.Apply to Tag Instance — Available when a tag writer is selected as an operation. Applies a parameter change to a tag instance, but not to the tag writer.
Condition
- Condition list — Available when a condition object is selected. Displays all the available conditions. A condition is defined as an equation. The operation starts or pauses based on the Operator setting.
- Edit Condition Parameter — Lets you specify the Value for the parameter selected in the conditions list.
- Select Object — When Type is set to Operation, lets you select a condition object that provides the runtime parameters to determine the start condition of the operation. When Type is set to Pause Operation, lets you create IF statements that control when the simulation pauses. The operation pauses based on the Operator cell setting. For an AND or OR statement, you can also select an attachment.
- Read from Tag — Available when a tag writer is selected as an operation. Creates a condition statement that references the tag instance parameter.
Name
- Name box — Sets the name of the operation.
