Symbol Table

Use the Symbol Table command to create or import symbols to use for naming signals. You can import a symbol table in .asc or .txt format from an external source, such as STEP7, or from a Teamcenter dictionary.

To keep signal names consistent between Mechatronics Concept Designer and external control systems, you can reuse a symbol name by assigning it to multiple signal adapters that have unique names.
