Sequence Editor shortcut menu commands and functionality

Reference for the right-click (shortcut) menu commands available in the Sequence Editor main panel, and other editor interactions.

Commands available when you right-click an operation

Command Description
Add Operation Opens the Operation dialog box and lets you create a new operation. The new operation is added to the end of the operation tree in the Sequence Editor.
Insert Operation Opens the Operation dialog box and lets you create a new operation above the operation selected in the Sequence Editor.
Create Group Lets you create a subgroup of operations in the operation tree to organize by system functions.
Edit Opens the Operation dialog box and lets you edit the operation you right-click.
Delete Deletes the selected operation or group.
Copy Copies the selected operation or group.
Paste Pastes a copy of the operation or group from the clipboard to the location below the selected node.
Move To Group Lets you move an operation into a subgroup of operations in the operation tree.
Stop Operation Sets a stop point for the runtime simulation.
Make Owner as Work Part Lets you change to the work part of the selected compound operation's owner.

Commands available when you right-click in the background of the Sequence Editor

Command Description
Export PLCopen XML Opens the Export PLCopen XML file dialog box and lets you export the selected operation to the PLCopen XML format. Note: PLCopen XML is a standard format published by the AutomationML group.
Export Timing Chart Lets you export timing data, including: step number, number of preceding operations, start time, duration of the operation, total elapsed time, conditional objects, parameter name, and reference designation. (In the Mechatronics Concept Designer Preferences dialog box, you can select the file and location to which you want to export timing data.)
Find Lets you search for operations.

Options available when multiple operations are selected and you right-click one of them

Command Description
Create Linker Creates a sequence by linking operations in the order they appear in the Sequence Editor. Note: You can create linkers between components, or a component and an independent operation. You cannot create a linker to an operation within a component.
Delete Linker Lets you delete all linkers between any of the selected operations.
Reverse Linker Switches the order of the linked operations.

Functionality available in the Sequence Editor table

Action Description
Drag a line from one operation to another Links the operation so one starts right after the other one ends.
Drag an operation bar Modifies the start time of the operation.

Options available when you right-click a link in the Sequence Editor time table

Command Description
Link Condition Lets you switch the link logic between AND and OR statements.
Delete Linker Deletes the selected linker that establishes the sequence in which the linked operations are performed during a simulation.
