Configure a PLCSIM Adv instance
This example shows how to configure a PLCSIM Adv instance for use with Mechatronics Concept Designer.
Note: You must set up the virtual PLC environment prior to configuring the instance.
Procedure
- Choose Home tab → Automation group → External Signal Configuration.
- Click the PLCSIM Adv tab.
- In the Instances group, click Add Instance.
- Select a PLCSIM Adv V2.0 instance from your library.
- In the instances table, select the instance that contains the tags you want to use, and then click Refresh the Selected Instance Status to update the PLC instances.
- In the Tags group, in the Selected column, select the check box of the tags you want to include in the configuration.
Tip: To select all the tags for inclusion in the configuration, select the Select All check box above the table.
- From the Cyclic list, select No Syn so Mechatronics Concept Designer exchanges data for each MCD step.
- Click OK.
