Creating and managing systems engineering models > Creating a logical model > Import a logical from Teamcenter

Import a logical from Teamcenter

Procedure

  1. On the Resource bar, choose the System Navigator tab.
  2. Right-click the Logical folder, and then select Open Logical Model.
  3. In the Open Logical Model dialog box, click Select Logical Model, and then browse to the model that you want to import.
  4. Click OK.

This is the mechanism by which an existing logical model authored/stored in Teamcenter is pulled into a Mechatronics Concept Designer session — the model is located and selected via a Teamcenter object browse dialog (Select Logical Model) launched from the Open Logical Model command on the System Navigator's Logical folder. This same Open Logical Model command also appears as a native (non-Teamcenter) shortcut, but only the Teamcenter Integration variant (see "Logical shortcut commands") also exposes Refresh Logical Model, Add Existing Logical, and Add Classified Logical, which are the ongoing-synchronization counterparts to this one-time import action.
